PUSH BACK RACKING

Push back rack is designed for last-in, first-out (LIFO) inventory management. Push back systems utilize the warehouse cube to reduce required aisle space, making it a high-density pallet storage solution.

When loading Push Back Racking, a Pallet is placed onto a wheeled cart which is on ascending rails.

The Next pallet to be put away pushes the previous pallet rack one position, which revels the next wheeled cart. This is repeated, depending on the depth of the system, until the last pallet is loaded, which rests on the rails.

This creates a last in, first out storage system. Gravity moves the product to the front of the system when a pallet is removed.

Push-back with shuttles: In the system with shuttles, each pallet, except the last one, is deposited on a shuttle, which moves on rails with a slight incline.

Push-back with rollers: The pallets are moved by means of roller beds fixed to the structure with a slight incline.
